"In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." President Gordon B. Hinckley

"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will--to your surprise--miss them profoundly." President Thomas S. Monson

Do You Ever...

Find things where you did not leave them?
Go to buckle your baby in her car seat and find a horse buckled in instead?
Or have you ever gone to put away your folded laundry and found a princess in every fold?
Isn't it wonderful?

Heavenly

Falling asleep rocking my newborn today=heavenly. There is simply nothing better.

Bedtime Battles

Every night we put Kiara and Kate to bed and try to guess how long they will play before drifting off to dreamland. To them going to bed=unsupervised play time! From the video monitor in our room I can watch Kate swing like a monkey from Kiara's bed. I can hear Kiara teasing Kate, "You wear diapers" and Kate screaming back, "No I don't!" And tonight I heard Kiara say, "Kate, I love you." Maybe sharing a room isn't such a bad idea after all.

A couple of days after Christmas I heard Kate crying in the next room saying, "Santa ate my cookies."

The Verdict

A lot of people ask us who Ava looks like. Kiara or Kate? What do you think?

Kiara
Kate
Ava
I think the verdict is that they are all unique!

Welcome Back, Sara

I nearly forgot about Sara. I almost sat on her once because I couldn't see her and Kiara burst into tears. Today Kiara started to talk about Sara again. Dereck and I asked where she has been and Kiara said she has been staying at a condo. So, welcome back, Sara...I hope you are better behaved than you were before. When Kiara used to disobey she said that Sara told her to. I'm glad Kiara has a friend, even if none of us can see her...

Reminded

Yesterday when Kiara ate a red styrofoam berry off of the floor because she thought it was an M&M it reminded of the time my sister Alicia ate our bunny Cuddle's dropping off of the car floor because she thought it was chocolate cake, and I laughed.
